Welcome to the lighter side of internet fact-checking
Let’s face it, fact-checking in America has gotten out of hand. Fact-checking should be a neutral exercise but in the past year it has become a politically aligned and sometimes maligned activity controlled by technology companies and people who are at times inherently biased. Not Exactly the news is a fact-checking service for the other half of America that doesn’t expect fact-checking to prove them right and they want to make sure fact-checking is indeed fact-checking.
Our fact-checking is as accurate and detailed as humanly possible and guess what, both sides are going to win some and lose some because, at the end of the day, it is about the truth. We will find the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth at Not Exactly the News and sometimes, we’ll do it in a very lighthearted way because…well, we don’t take ourselves too seriously here.
